Extremely bipolar weekend

Damn, this weekend has been ridiculous. Let's start with Friday

After work, a quite good day generally speaking, we gathered at my house Beth Layne and I did. We packed my cerr and went on to the camping trip at Jonjon's grandparent's house outside of Ocala. We got there around nine and set up our tent, since I hate the BCM tents and I like the one we have much more. So we set up and they ate. Weird thing happened on the way. We had just gotten past gainesville, and I decided to call Blake to see where he was. After learning he was on I75, I asked what mile marker he was at, only to learn that he was in the car behind the car behind me. Very exciting. We got to the place and set up, some people ate, and then we went driving around the property. I started in willwill's car, and eventually moved to the truck jonjon was driving since it would be more fun in the back of the truck. It was oodles of fun....:| Well, we ended doing donuts all through the property, which was extremely scary. Now, in a normal circumstance, I will not ride in a car with Jonjon driving, due to the fact that he makes me afraid for my life. Now, put that with his normal scary driving with driving extremely dangerously, and you have me not very pleased. But it was kinda fun too, so I overall enjoyed. We decided to go see the "Haunted Barbershop".

Let me take a minute to discuss my love for haunted things. I believe in ghosts, but I think they are demons using the story of ghosts to hide themselves, for as our pastor said this morning in church in his story, as soon as people believe in demons, they usually finish the equation and solve for X. So, I don't look forward to ever seeing a ghost. Now, in the place of old buildings, I get freaked out. Anything with tons of history and decrepid walls are spooky enough as it is. Add what I just discussed, and you may understand why I don't like haunted places. In addition to all of this, we kept seeing flashlights of people not with us. That, honestly, is what scared me the most.

Well, I decided that I didn't want to actually stay at the truck the whole time, so I went ahead and went. We get there around.....230am, and I don't want to go anywhere near that house. I stay a good 50 feet away, and listen to Jonjon's terrible made up story about the story of its haunting. Nothing he said scared me, since it was so...bad? ANyway, I ended up going up to the house, looking inside, and being completely finished with it. It wasn't a barbershop, but rather an old house with a barber chair in it. Very old house. But that was kinda fun, until Jonjon decided to jump out at us while we were looking at these two eyes reflecting from my flashlight. Well, had he been closer, he would have had my knife in his skin, because as soon as he came running at us roaring like some animal, my knife was out and ready to kill. Luckily, he was far enough away for me to have time to understand what was happening. We walked back to the truck, and Willwill and matt walked off on their own, so we had to wait for them to come all the way back to the truck. We knew they would jump out at us, so we just had to wait until they did. After about 15-20 minutes, he finally did. He was very close to me, and is even luckier than jonjon was, because I had sat my knife down a couple of seconds before, so I didn't have fast access to it, otherwise he would have lost part of his face (I'm not trying to sound badass, but I lose control when I get startled that badly). We went back and went to bed.

Saturday we woke up in pouring sweat. 3 hours later we ate breakfast and went to the lakehouse around 2pm, after playingw ith some chainsaws and machetes(sp?). We swam out to the island, a VERY long swim. I made it about 3/4 of the way, before getting really tired. I told the people in the boat to stay close, because we hadn't eaten much (just grits for breakfast) and I didn't have a lot of energy. Well, while they were pretty close, I got a bad cramp in my side, and decided that instead of drowning, I would wuss out and let the canoe people take me the rest of the way out. I'm very disappointed in myself for not making it, but now I'm determined to get in much better shape so that I may make it some other time. Well, we found a cool rope swing on the island, and swung off of it, until beth (by horrible accident) ended up hurting herself really bad. She began go to into shock, but we managed to calm her down, and a boat took me and her back to the lakehouse. I went inside and fixed her something to eat, and we then left for the hospital. After about 3 hours of being there they gave her crutches and told her she probably had a broken tailbone (they don't like to xray women's lower abdomen if not absolutely necessary due to damages it could cause to things men don't have), and she pulled a ligament in her leg. So she got crutches and we spent the evening together, until we got her back to camp. That night we did fireworks and had a crappy bonfire, but it was fine. Layne and I went to bed long before eveyrone else.

Got up This morning and went to church in Ocala. I've never been to an Episcopal Church before, so it was very exciting and new. I was lost the whole time, but it was really fun. The pastor taught an awesome sermon on the parable of the wheat and the weeds, and how the farmer can't tell the type of weeds from the grain until they are more mature, and by then the roots are so intertwined that it would damage the wheat to pull the weeds out, meaning that it isn't our place to judge people, since we can't tell how something is until it is a finished product, and it is God's job to sort the wheat from weeds, not ours. It was so awesome and as tired as I was, i had no problem staying awake. After church, we went to eat and then broke camp. We wanted to break camp and leave, but we stayed to help jj and ww finish everything. Eventually we got out of there, with us all beat like a drum. Beth slept for a good part of the car ride, but layne and I talked the whole way back and kept eachother awake. Best part is, the whole 3 hours, we didn't ahve any music the whole time. It was awesome.

Get back and take showers, and Layne and I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which is FREAKING INCREDIBLE!!!! I loved it. Everyone else went later, but I wanted to go to the 830 one so I could get home and go to bed....and I shouldn't've wasted all this time typing this....crap.

Ok, since i just realized I could be asleep, I'm gonna go do that. So.....tootles?

I toned this entry down a lot since the people who read this were the ones who I got pissed at which made the trip pretty much suck

Hey, you're right...there wasn't any music was there? Ah well, it was fun without it.

Fabulous movie. Worth going to see again once it's at the dollar theatre, I'd say.

Movie ticket: $7
Small popcorn and HUGE Sprite: $4
Sharing an awkward moment with one of "your" kids: Priceless.
You'll have to let me know how that transpires :)
